【摘要】:Thepropertiesofrefractorycastablescanbeaffectedbytheirmethodofinstallation.Thispracticeattemptstominimizethevariablesencounteredduringinstallationbypneumaticgunning.ThispracticeprovidesparameterstoproducegunnedspecimensforuseinotherASTMtestmethods.Thispracticemaybeusedtoproducespecimensforacceptancetesting,serviceevaluation,manufacturingcontrol,andresearchanddevelopment.Differencesbetweenvariouskindsofequipmentandthedifferencesinproceduresandoperatortechniquesmayresultinsignificantvariationsinthephysicalpropertiesofthegunnedspecimens.Itisrecommendedthatthesameoperatorusethesameequipmenttoproducespecimensforrefereetestingagreedtobytheinvolvedtestingparties.Thespecificoperatingparametersshouldbeshowninthereport.Althoughthispracticeisspecificallydesignedforrefractorycastablescontainingcalciumaluminatecement,itmaybeusedwithminormodificationsforgunmixescontainingotherbondsystems.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedureforpreparingrefractorycastablespecimensusuallycontainingcalciumaluminatecementwithorwithoutmetalfibersbycoldnozzle-mixgunning.SpecimenspreparedinaccordancewiththispracticeareintendedforuseinstandardASTMtestmethodsrequiredforevaluatinggunnedmaterials.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Uraniumdioxideisusedasanuclear-reactorfuel.Gadoliniumoxideisusedasanadditivetouraniumdioxide.Inordertobesuitableforthispurpose,thesematerialsmustmeetcertaincriteriaforimpuritycontent.ThistestmethodisdesignedtodeterminewhetherthehydrogencontentmeetsSpecificationsC753,C776,C888,andC922.1.1Thistestmethodappliestothedeterminationofhydrogeninnuclear-gradeuraniumoxidepowdersandpelletstodeterminecompliancewithspecifications.Gadoliniumoxide(Gd2O3)andgadoliniumoxide-uraniumoxidepowdersandpelletsmayalsobeanalyzedusingthistestmethod.1.2Thisstandarddescribesaprocedureformeasuringthetotalhydrogencontentofuraniumoxides.Thetotalhydrogencontentresultsfromabsorbedwater,waterofcrystallization,hydro-carbidesandotherhydrogenatedcompoundswhichmayexistasfuel'simpurities.1.3Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationof0.05to200gofresidualhydrogen.1.4Thistestmethoddescribesanelectrodefurnacecarriergascombustionsystemequippedwithathermalconductivitydetector.1.5Thepreferredsystemofunitsismicrogramshydrogenpergramofsample(g/gsample)ormicrogramshydrogenpergramofuranium(g/gU).1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
